Position Summary

  • Runs the mid-market segment (large commercial / small industrial accounts, roughly 25,000–100,000 annually), where efficiency and margin discipline outweigh deep relationship management.
  • Makes the team fast and accurate at qualifying, pricing, and closing volume.
  • Runs targeted proactive campaigns where the economics justify it.

Essential Functions

  • Manage segment throughput, including quote turnaround, quote-to-close conversion, and accurate deal setup.
  • Enforce margin and pricing standards, escalating only genuine exceptions (load-factor anomalies, factor errors) to complex-pricing support.
  • Run periodic proactive and targeted sales campaigns against curated customer lists.
  • Own renewal management for the segment, using lighter-touch or automated communication where appropriate.
  • Ensure reps can answer standard program and pricing questions without routing each one to support, reducing rework and delay.

  • Strong process and operational sales-management capability.

  • Sufficient product and program knowledge to coach reps through standard questions.
