Job Description
Focus of the role
The Telstra Business Managed Services (TBMS) Sales Specialist is responsible for driving growth, profitability and customer success by identifying, shaping and closing Telstra Business Managed Services opportunities across a defined portfolio of customers.
As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with customers to understand their business goals, challenges and technology priorities, translating these into tailored TBMS solutions across network and security. You will lead strategic sales engagements, uncover new growth opportunities and build compelling business cases that demonstrate the value of managed outcomes.
Working in partnership with Navisite Managed Services Sales Specialists (MSSS), Mid Market Sales Leaders, Business Development Managers, Account Managers, Territory Managers (TM's) and Channel Partners, you will design and execute a customer growth strategy that expands the adoption of Telstra Business Managed Services and strengthens long-term customer relationships.
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to accelerate TBMS growth, deliver profitable sales outcomes, create differentiated customer value and position Telstra as the partner of choice for managed services.
Key responsibilities include:
Focus on identification and pursuit of opportunities/sales of Telstra Business Managed Services solutions across Mid Market.
Provide pro-active thought leadership to customers, focusing on areas that are industry specific and based on technology trends, with the ability to relate this to how Telstra can assist the customer.
Develop specialist knowledge and oversee execution of offers in market including internal/external interlock on allocated TBMS offerings.
Execution of internal initiative/s to generate pipeline such as, account and territory planning, sales campaigns, sales enablement and training
Trusted advisor to internal stakeholders including BDM’s, Territory Managers and Channel Partners on Telstra Business Managed Services offerings
Build, maintain and convert a strong growth sales pipeline in your defined portfolio, combining net new acquisition opportunities and whitespace penetration
Lead complex, solution-focused customer engagements including strategic bid management
Improve sales velocity and growth value on sales opportunities
Collaborate with Sales Specialists, Channel Partners, TMs and other internal Telstra teams to improve Growth sales, win rates and Region performance
About you
At least 5 years’ working experience in Sales, customer-facing, or Business-to-Business sales roles. Experience working in technology or software industry is preferred.
Experience in sales opportunity management.
Experience in new business development and strategic growth planning.
Exceptional skills in customer relationship management.
Strong experience in portfolio analysis and planning.
Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
Customer centricity and commercial acumen skills.
University qualification in Business, Commerce or relevant other fields, highly regarded
