We are seeking an AVP, Marketing Manager to play a significant role in building and growing the State Street Investment Management business in North America. In this role, you will work collaboratively across the organization to deliver integrated channel and product campaigns that lead to commercial success. The successful candidate will have a deep interest in financial markets, investment trends and innovation as well as enjoy working with colleagues to ensure alignment on objectives, strategy and positioning.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
This is an opportunity for a well-rounded and highly collaborative marketing professional with existing insights into the US Wealth and Institutional market segments and experience in leading integrated marketing campaigns and product launches. You will lead and deliver marketing programs to drive awareness, engagement and interest in State Street investment solutions and work closely with members of Marketing, Sales, Client Engagement, Strategy, and Product Innovation as well as external agencies and partners.
This role will include the following responsibilities:
- Create and drive client-relevant, scalable and repeatable integrated marketing programs and its key deliverables for State Street products and solutions
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders on key business objectives, client concerns and plans to achieve sales goals
- Work closely with internal marketing and strategy teams to develop and enhance product materials, product positioning, capabilities messaging, web experience and segmented communications
- Work closely with an array of marketing disciplines – digital, social, content, measurement, brand and advertising, and events – to build cohesive and integrated marketing plans
- Partner with PR team to build assets for earned media
- Drive, measure and optimize the overall client experience for key investment solutions
- Proactively raise ideas for marketing programs and best practices
- Maintain deep understanding of distribution segments, support needs, and competitive landscape – including competitive best practices
- Maintain and communicate the status—including obstacles, deliverables and project progression—around a variety of project plans in support of channel and product marketing initiatives
- Provide marketing leadership and Sales management with reporting metrics on all initiatives/programs/projects on a regular basis
- Manage respective marketing budgets against marketing plans
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferably with major in marketing or communications
- Ten or more years of relevant marketing experience; previous financial services or product marketing experience preferred
- Familiarity with investment concepts
- Data-driven with a strong understanding of marketing technology
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to confidently interact with and influence stakeholders across the firm
- Excellent relationship building and management skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate to drive results
- Strategic thinker, creative in approach
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
LOCATION AND TRAVEL:
This position will be based in Boston. Some domestic travel may be required.
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $140,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
