Job Summary:
Performs technical work in the support of the marketing team.Job Description:
- Drafts meeting notes and prepares materials including updated project benchmarks and research information to support marketing projects, campaigns, and work unit personnel.
- Summarizes market tracking and research data from distributed market surveys.
- Assists in developing creative marketing strategies and multimedia campaigns by creating and distributing draft materials to a variety of project participants.
- Ensures promotional materials are maintained.
- Modifies materials as directed by professional staff.
- Schedules meetings of project stakeholders, including external vendors as required to maintain project timelines and responds to initial questions.
Job Responsibilities:
The Marketing Specialist will assist with core operational and executional responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Weekly website updates and content management
- Social media management across 7–10 active accounts
- Photo and video coordination and production support
- Development and distribution of school-wide communications
Marketing and communications efforts within the School of Applied Sciences support a broad and diverse set of audiences, including:
- Current students (school and department level)
- Prospective students
- Alumni
- Parents and families
- Faculty and staff
- Donors and external partners
The addition of a full-time Marketing Specialist will strengthen the school’s ability to engage these audiences consistently and effectively, while creating a more sustainable and scalable marketing team structure aligned with the school’s growth and strategic priorities.
