This posting is to teach courses in Advertising and-related communication disciplines. An Online Adjunct Faculty in the School of Communication and the Arts is a part-time fully online position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching material from the approved curriculum in accordance with an assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
  • Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.
  • Complete assignments timely and accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
  • Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and by getting in touch with and offering assistance to absent students.
  • Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
  • Motivate students to participate in all aspects of the educational process actively.
  • Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
  • Maintain university standards regarding course activity, emails, grading, and communication with Instructional Mentor and students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Credentials:

A terminal degree in Advertising, Communication, Strategic Communication, Integrated Marketing Communication, or a closely related communication field is required.


Preferred candidates will have college-level teaching experience and professional experience in areas such as advertising strategy, copywriting, branding, digital advertising, social media, media planning, or campaign development.

Courses are typically paid at $800 per load hour.
