The Graphic Designer is responsible in creating visual concepts for communications and marketing materials to support business requirements. These marketing materials may cover everything from posters to brochure, flyers, booth stands, infographics, illustrations, presentations, banners and others. These marketing materials should be designed in compliance with the brand guidelines. The Graphic Designer is also expected to perform tasks assigned by the Creative Services Lead, Creative Services Production Manager, Global Head of Brand & Creative or the Corporate Communications Support Team Manager that contributes to the goals of the business affiliates in their marketing efforts.

Specific Responsibilities

  • At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
  • Understand the design brief and directly communicate with stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy of requirements
  • Design communication and marketing materials for stakeholders including but not limited to brochure, flyer, poster, infographic, illustration, presentation, and banner
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare drafts and present ideas
  • Design communication materials in compliance with the brand guidelines
  • Ensure that approved communication materials are duly prepared, packaged and readily available for deployment (print-ready, high-resolution images, offset/digital printing, source files, etc.)
  • Work with stakeholders to produce final designs and within the agreed deadlines
  • Amend designs according to feedback
  • Ensure graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Produce communication materials within the deadlines
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as defined by management
  • Ensures work area in GBS is always kept clean and presentable.
  • Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures.
  • Complies to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Design/Multimedia, Advertising/Media/Communication, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing marketing communication materials in a design agency or corporate setup
  • Conceptual creativity and visualising skills
  • Design for print, digital and branding
  • Effective communicator, managing priorities across stakeholders
  • Managing the design process from start to finish
  • Results-oriented, effectively prioritizing and multitasking, able to work within tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English written and spoken (C1 or above)

Required Skills

  • Fully proficient using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva and other design software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • A well-crafted portfolio featuring a range of projects and disciplines
  • A growth mentality – hungry to collaborate, adapt and show initiative
