Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute social media and audience engagement strategies that align with brand and business objectives.
  • Translate marketing, communications, and brand priorities into platform-specific content and engagement programs.
  • Build and maintain editorial calendars that support campaigns, business initiatives, seasonal opportunities, and key moments.
  • Identify audience insights, social trends, and emerging opportunities to inform content strategy and channel growth.
  • Support the development of content roadmaps and social playbooks that drive consistency and performance.

Content Development & Publishing

  • Plan, develop, adapt, and optimize content across social and digital platforms.
  • Create platform-native content strategies tailored to various audience segments and channels.
  • Partner with creative, marketing, communications, and agency teams to develop engaging content and storytelling.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice, style, and messaging across all channels.
  • Drive innovation through testing new content formats, creative approaches, and platform capabilities.

Community Management & Audience Engagement

  • Build, grow, and nurture engaged online communities.

  • Monitor audience sentiment, identify emerging issues, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.

Digital Reputation & Brand Stewardship

  • Support initiatives that strengthen brand credibility, trust, and reputation across digital channels.
  • Maintain alignment with brand standards, content guidelines, and regulatory requirements when applicable.
  • Assist in managing issues, rapid-response communications, and sensitive audience interactions.
  • Help ensure all content and engagement activities meet governance and compliance standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent and responsible communications.

Measurement, Analytics & Optimization

  • Establish and track key performance indicators across social and digital channels.
  • Analyze campaign, content, and engagement performance to identify actionable insights.
  • Maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and performance scorecards.
  • Develop recommendations for optimizing content, audience targeting, engagement strategies, and channel effectiveness.
  • Use testing, learning, and experimentation to continuously improve results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with marketing, communications, media, analytics, digital, legal, compliance, and agency teams.
  • Coordinate campaign execution and content delivery across multiple stakeholders.
  • Support integrated marketing initiatives across owned, earned, paid, and shared channels.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure successful execution.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder communications.

Operations & Governance

  • Support end-to-end content and campaign workflows, including planning, review, publishing, optimization, and archiving.
  • Help manage agency relationships, vendor coordination, and external partner deliverables.
  • Ensure efficient operational processes and adherence to established governance models.
  • Assist in maintaining documentation, content standards, and workflow best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality work on schedule.

Leadership Responsibilities (Depending on Level)

  • Lead major social and media marketing initiatives.
  • Influence strategic direction and audience engagement priorities.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members.
