Purpose of the Job

Play a key role in welcoming new clients to Ocorian and creating a seamless onboarding experience from the outset. As an Officer within the Mauritius Client Onboarding team, you'll work closely with clients, colleagues and relevant authorities to coordinate due diligence, engagement agreements, regulatory applications and entity set-up activities across a range of financial services structures.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your expertise in Mauritius financial services, client onboarding and regulatory processes while developing strong relationships with stakeholders across the business. You'll gain exposure to a variety of structures and licences, contribute to an efficient client journey and help ensure new business is transitioned smoothly to the teams who will support clients throughout their relationship with Ocorian.

Main Responsibilities

  • Guide clients through the onboarding journey, providing clear and professional support from initial engagement through to handover.
  • Review due diligence documentation and coordinate with clients to gather the information required for onboarding.
  • Support clients with the completion of forms, questionnaires and business plans throughout the onboarding process.
  • Prepare Client Engagement Agreements and coordinate their completion with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate client creation, billing set-up and related onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client information and documentation within internal systems.
  • Prepare incorporation and licensing applications through relevant Mauritius regulatory and company registration platforms.
  • Coordinate client handovers to administration teams, supporting a smooth transition into ongoing service delivery.
  • Support offboarding and entity lifecycle activities, including the preparation and coordination of relevant documentation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders to deliver a positive and consistent client experience.
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance onboarding processes, service quality and the overall client journey.

  • Degree or diploma in Law, Management, Finance or a related discipline.
  • ICSA, ACCA or another professional qualification relevant to financial services would be beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience within client onboarding, financial services, corporate services or a related professional environment.
  • Understanding of Mauritius financial services structures, regulatory requirements and licensing processes, including exposure to Global Business Companies, funds, trusts or other regulated structures.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues and relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate onboarding activities and maintain high-quality client records.
