Your new role
As Marketing Lead for Obesity in the Gulf, based in Dubai, you will set the strategic direction for our obesity brand and lead a talented marketing team to deliver ambitious commercial results. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will translate insight into action – building campaigns, brand equity and cross-functional momentum that expand access to treatment for patients who need it most.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing the strategic marketing plan for the Obesity portfolio, aligned with the broader commercial objectives of the Obesity Business Strategy
  • Driving the development and execution of both strategic and tactical brand plans, including digital-first promotional campaigns
  • Overseeing brand management, positioning and consistent messaging across all marketing channels
  • Leading market research initiatives, translating consumer and HCP insights into targeted, data-driven decisions
  • Managing P&L activities, advertising ROI analysis and marketing performance metrics to optimize impact and investment
  • Leading, coaching and inspiring the marketing team while fostering cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Finance and external partners
  • Representing the marketing function in strategic discussions with the Gulf leadership, Business Area (BAMECA) and Region (REM)

As Head of Marketing, you will play a defining role in shaping how we engage HCPs, patients and partners – and how we expand obesity care to millions more people across the region.

Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a strategic, commercially driven marketing leader who thrives in a high-paced, ambitious environment. You combine sharp analytical thinking with strong people leadership and a passion for building brands that matter. You'll bring with you:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum 8–10 years' experience in marketing, with a clear focus on commercial marketing strategies
  • A proven track record of leading marketing teams and developing successful, multi-channel promotional campaigns – ideally including digital-first approaches
  • Strong experience in market research, consumer trend analysis and product management, including P&L responsibility and advertising ROI analysis
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and across cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken; regional language skills are an advantage
