MUBI’s Communications team is responsible for global corporate and consumer communications, film, platform and brand publicity, talent management and awards. We are looking for someone who will bring excitement and experience to supporting our brand and film publicity through the life-cycle of a project: from initial positioning, through festival premieres, theatrical and platform releases, and awards.
The role is based in New York, and will report to the Communications Director, US. The role will work closely with the US Communications team based in New York and Los Angeles, as well as the Global Communications teams based in London. The role will further work with the US Marketing, Distribution, and Content teams as necessary.
MUBI works hybrid-remote and requires three days in our New York office. Our core days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with the flexibility to use our offices on the remaining two days if you wish.
Where you will have impact:
Work closely with the US Communications team (NY and LA) to assist with US publicity for MUBI Releases, Productions and exclusive streaming releases, with support of US PR agencies and consultants
Work with US Communications Managers (LA) and US Marketing team on publicity for brand activity such as MUBI Fest, MUBI Podcast, MUBI GO and MUBI Notebook on the East Coast
Assist with US awards campaigns by maintaining FYC blast calendar, creating invite graphics, and tracking RSVPs
Coordinate and book logistics for talent, maintaining schedules and updating talent publicity teams regularly
Staff film festivals, premieres, and other special events in North America, managing talent at events if in attendance
Arrange and manage in-person press screenings
Work with Distribution and Marketing teams to brainstorm campaign ideas for MUBI Releases
Collaborate with Marketing team on monthly streaming content priorities to generate ideas to create coverage and social conversation
Pitch press directly for campaigns as needed
Track press coverage and send press breaks to film teams
Communicate updates on internal and external calls and channels
Process invoices and update budget documents
Help to manage the US Communications Intern (based in NY)

Qualifications:

Fluency in English. Additional languages are a bonus.
