Kudos Services is a specialist facilities management provider delivering services across complex healthcare and PPP/PFI estates. We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of Commercial to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping our commercial strategy, managing contractual risk and driving commercial performance across the business.
Key Requirements
- Significant experience operating within a PPP/PFI, healthcare or complex FM contractual environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, contractual compliance, pay mechanisms and commercial risk management.
- Proven experience managing commercial challenges, including latent defects, unavailability claims and stakeholder negotiations.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Resilient and commercially astute, with the ability to balance strategic priorities, manage competing demands and drive results.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Commercial will provide strategic and operational leadership across all commercial and contractual matters within the business. You will be responsible for ensuring contractual compliance, identifying and mitigating commercial risks, and supporting the continued growth and success of the organisation.
Acting as the lead commercial expert, you will work closely with clients, construction partners, CHP, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders to manage contractual obligations, lifecycle planning, latent defects, unavailability risks and commercial opportunities. You will play a key role in supporting contractual decision-making, governance and compliance, whilst identifying opportunities to improve performance and deliver value across the portfolio.
You will also oversee commercial reporting, pay mechanism management, risk tracking and governance activities, ensuring the business remains protected from financial and reputational risk while maximising commercial opportunities.
About You
You are a commercially minded leader with a strong understanding of PPP/PFI arrangements and the challenges associated with delivering services in complex contractual environments. You combine excellent commercial judgement with strong analytical skills and are confident interpreting contracts, identifying risks and influencing positive outcomes.
You are an effective communicator who builds trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and are comfortable providing advice and challenge to senior leaders.
