As Senior Specialist, Brand Strategy you’ll play a key role in contributing to the Johnson Controls brand strategy across the globe. You’ll help turn strategic direction into action and ensure consistent execution across teams, channels, and geos.
This role focuses on the Johnson Controls enterprise brand. You will contribute to the ongoing evolution of our global brand strategy with brand messaging, campaign development, and ensuring alignment with established positioning, architecture, and governance. Success requires a proactive, detail-oriented brand professional who thrives on collaboration and adds value through thoughtful contributions within established strategic frameworks.
How you will do it
Implementation of strategic brand positioning
- Contribute to the evolution of Johnson Controls brand positioning to help differentiate the company in competitive B2B markets through brand strategy frameworks, guidelines, messaging platforms, and value propositions.
- Conduct market research, customer insight analysis, and competitive assessments to inform strategic direction.
- Work with internal teams and creative partners to ensure consistent positioning and delivery of brand representation.
- Develop and deliver brand training, onboarding, and enablement resources to help teams understand and apply brand standards consistently.
Brand guidelines & templates
- Develop, maintain and evolve brand guidelines, templates, toolkits, and brand assets to support consistent brand activation.
- Ownership and asset management of internal brand portal, ensuring it remains accurate, up to date, and accessible, including assets, logos, guidelines, and templates.
- Manage the versioning, publication, and communication of brand updates across the organization.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure brand alignment across key touchpoints.
Brand content & governance
- Lead governance programs to drive adherence to global brand standards, identify gaps, and support continuous improvement.
- Manage the brand inbox, providing guidance, resolving inquiries, and coordinating approvals with relevant stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships with COE teams, marketing squads, and GEO marketing teams to enable consistent brand activation and effective governance across regions and functions.
- Oversee trademark usage, naming conventions, and approval processes to maintain brand consistency and legal compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to embed brand standards within enterprise systems, AI tools, and taxonomy frameworks.
- Drive operational excellence by integrating brand guidance, assets, and standards into new platforms, tools, and workflows.
What we are looking for
Required
- Native-level fluency in English, with exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Prior experience in brand strategy and execution (brand positioning, identity, M&A, TM) with a strong sense of visual identity building blocks.
- Demonstrated track record of collaboration and teamwork
- Strong brand, analytical, project management and organizational skills
Preferred
- Familiarity with HVAC, energy, automation, or smart building technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
This role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis to provide maternity leave cover.
