About the job
As an IT Marketing & Communication Intern within the Corporate Technology department at ING Bank Netherlands, you will help shape how we communicate tech innovation across 40+ countries. Positioned at the intersection of business and IT, you will collaborate with executive management, IT specialists, and global communications colleagues to promote internal IT products, engage internal communities, and elevate our department's digital presence.
Key responsibilities
- Channel & content strategy: Own internal channels (Teams communities, Viva Engage) and manage the department SharePoint site to ensure clear, consistent messaging across all tech services.
- Multimedia creation: Produce compelling multimedia assets—including short-form videos, graphic presentations, copy, and product landing pages—for internal IT tools.
- Management & stakeholder support: Assist management with session preparations, interactive tech demos, and department-wide events.
- Insights & feedback: Collect and analyse employee satisfaction surveys to turn feedback into actionable comms improvements.
Examples of what you’ll be doing
- Designing brand consistency: Standardize comms templates so messaging across global IT initiatives remains unified and sharp.
- Driving community engagement: Launch regular posts, interactive challenges, and campaign strategies on Viva Engage to boost participation across tech teams.
- Creating dynamic content: Edit a quick recap video or launch a short podcast episode highlighting a new IT tool deployment.
- Supporting meetings: Help prepare interactive decks and facilitate demo sessions for executive management and key stakeholders.
- Planning department events: Help organize hackathons, town halls, or team showcase days from logistics to promotional collateral.
What you bring
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism, or a related field).
- Passionate about technology, corporate innovation, and storytelling.
- Self-driven, organized, and proactive with strong attention to detail.
- Creative mindset with hands-on experience in multimedia content creation (video editing, Reels/short formats, graphics, or podcasts).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Video editting or Confluence is a nice-to-have and would be beneficial in this role.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Based in the Netherlands with the ability to work in-office Amsterdam at least 2 days per week.
