The Change Management Communications Manager is responsible for developing and delivering integrated change management and communications strategies that help employees understand, adopt, and sustain organizational change. Working as part of Hatch’s Internal Communications team, the role will support business transformation initiatives by translating complex changes into clear, relevant, and engaging communications for employees and other internal stakeholders.

This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring an experienced communicator with specialized training and practical experience in organizational change management. The successful candidate will combine strong writing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement capabilities with a disciplined understanding of change management methodologies, tools, and practices.

The role will work closely with business and functional leaders, project teams, subject matter experts, and regional communications colleagues to assess change impacts, understand stakeholder needs, identify potential barriers to adoption, and develop communications and engagement programs that support successful implementation. The individual will be equally comfortable advising senior leaders, developing change and communications strategies, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and creating clear, compelling communications.

We’re looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in internal or corporate communications, demonstrated experience supporting significant organizational change, and the ability to bring structure, empathy, and sound judgment to complex transformation initiatives within a global organization.

Duties

The Change Management Communications Manager will:

  • Report to the Manager, Corporate Communications.
  • Develop and execute integrated change management and communications strategies for global transformation initiatives.
  • Serve as communications and change management advisor to business leaders, project sponsors, program teams, and subject matter experts.
  • Manage change communications activities from planning through implementation, including timelines, approvals, stakeholder coordination, dependencies, and measurement, applying established change management methodologies and tools.
  • Translate complex business, process, technology, and organizational changes into clear and relevant messages that explain what is changing, why it matters, how employees will be affected, and what actions they need to take. Develop change narratives, key messages, communication plans, stakeholder engagement plans, leader toolkits, presentations, FAQs, talking points, intranet content, email communications, and other materials that support awareness and adoption.
  • Establish success measures and gather qualitative and quantitative feedback to assess communications effectiveness, stakeholder readiness, adoption, and areas requiring additional support.
  • Develop and promote change communications standards, templates, tools, governance processes, and best practices across the organization.
  • Build change management and communications capabilities among communications colleagues, project teams, leaders, and people managers.
  • Manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality, accuracy, and responsiveness.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and solutions-oriented Internal Communications team.

Requirements of the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in communications, public relations, journalism, organizational development, business, human resources, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, change communications, organizational change management, or a related field.
  • Formal training in organizational change management. Prosci Change Management Certification is strongly preferred. Certification or training in another recognized change management methodology will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications and change management strategies for complex organizational, operational, cultural, process, or technology changes, preferably in professional services, engineering, infrastructure, energy, mining, technology, or another project-based environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation development skills, with the ability to make complex information clear, relevant, and actionable.
  • Strong knowledge of change management principles, including sponsorship, stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, readiness, resistance management, adoption, and reinforcement.
  • Strong facilitation and consultation skills, with experience leading stakeholder interviews, workshops, focus groups, or employee engagement sessions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs involving multiple stakeholder groups, geographies, workstreams, and implementation phases.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex deliverables, dependencies, approvals, and timelines.
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 communications and collaboration platforms, including SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, and Viva Engage, is considered an asset.
  • Role requires an individual with business acumen, confidence, curiosity, and the ability to build trusted relationships across different leadership levels, geographies, functions, and business groups.

Base salary range: $81,000 - $120,000
