The Role

As agent governance goes mainstream, Gravitee is taking APIs, event streams, and AI networks to the next level.

As a Technical Account Manager (TAM), you are the post-sales technical owner for a tiered portfolio of enterprise accounts across North America. You will provide hands-on technical depth with your top-tier customers while maintaining structured cadences across the rest of your portfolio.

Your first mission with every new customer is to help them reach production in under six months. After go-live, you become their technical thought leader, helping them stay successful, maximize adoption, realize value, and expand their use of Gravitee.

What you'll be doing

  • Onboard to Production: Guide new customers from signature to production in under six months through architecture guidance, best practices, and use case design, working alongside an onboarding manager and FDE/Professional Services or partner delivery.

  • Run a Tiered Portfolio: Prioritize deliberately across a portfolio of enterprise accounts, determine where your time creates the most value, maintain appropriate scope, and route work to the right team when it falls outside the TAM function.

  • Own the Advisory Rhythm: Deliver QBRs, release briefings, and technical roadmaps, and drive value realization against each customer's business and ROI goals.

  • Drive Growth & Retention: Identify expansion, adoption, and usage signals early, bring them to the account team, and proactively help protect retention across your portfolio.

  • Champion Customer Advocacy: Represent your customers internally with Product and Engineering, connecting requests to clear business impact through our structured feature request process.

  • Contribute to the Field: Strengthen the broader team through demos, reusable technical assets, architecture design, best practices, and enablement content.

  • Live Our Values: Ensure every customer interaction reflects Gravitee's core values of Passion, Hold Nothing Back, and Professionalism.

Your impact will be visible, measurable, and meaningful.

Essential Skills

  • Vendor-Side Experience: Experience in a customer-facing technical role at a SaaS or infrastructure vendor, such as Technical Account Manager, post-sales Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, or Professional Services, with a strong understanding of the vendor motion including value realization, adoption, retention, and expansion.

  • Portfolio Management: Proven experience managing a portfolio of enterprise customers, with concrete examples of prioritizing effectively across competing customer demands.

  • Platform Depth: Strong technical depth in APIs, integration, and cloud-native platforms, with hands-on implementation experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes.

  • Security & Standards Fluency: Solid understanding of API security and identity and access management protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and SSO.

  • Executive Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with audiences ranging from engineers and architects to executives, and to build trusted advisory relationships.

  • Technical Customer Leadership: Ability to understand a customer's architecture, connect technical requirements to business outcomes, and guide customers toward scalable solutions and best practices.

  • Boundary Discipline: Ability to scope an engagement, maintain that scope, and escalate effectively while ensuring customers continue moving forward.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites approximately one to two times per month as needed.

Desired Skills

  • Kafka or event-streaming experience

  • Exposure to LLM gateways, MCP, A2A, agent identity, or agent authorization patterns

  • Scripting or development background, particularly Java or Python

  • Experience with API management, API gateways, or developer platforms
