Flix North America is looking for a sharp, intellectually curious, and experienced Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & PR to drive external communications for FlixBus and Greyhound. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, you will play a leading role in shaping how our brands and business show up in the media and broader public conversation.

This is a hands-on role for an exceptional, creative storyteller and proactive media relations professional. You know what makes a story newsworthy, can turn complex business priorities into compelling narratives, and have the relationships and instincts to reach the right audiences. You are equally comfortable developing a media pitch, preparing an executive for an interview, writing an op-ed, creating social content, or managing a fast-moving issue.

You bring exceptional writing skills, strong journalistic instincts, sound business judgment and an ownership mindset. You are highly self-directed and entrepreneurial, able to spot opportunities, develop compelling ideas, and take them from concept to execution.

This is a hybrid role out of our Dallas office.

About the Role

  • Build and execute proactive media strategies that strengthen visibility and credibility for FlixBus and Greyhound, securing coverage in top tier national, business, consumer, and trade outlets.
  • Translate complex business priorities into compelling narratives and develop integrated communications plans around launches, announcements, and key news moments.
  • Write and edit across formats including press releases, pitches, talking points, op-eds, speeches, social posts, and web content.
  • Manage corporate social channels (LinkedIn, X) with a focus on relevance, engagement, and thought leadership.
  • Support executive visibility by preparing leaders for media interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances, and identifying strategic platform opportunities.
  • Lead issues management and crisis communications, monitoring news and social conversations to anticipate risks and respond quickly.
  • Drive communications innovation by staying ahead of shifts in how audiences discover information, including the evolving impact of AI, and piloting tools that expand reach and team effectiveness.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years in corporate communications or PR, with a strong track record supporting consumer brands.
  • Exceptional writer with sharp journalistic instincts; you know what makes a story newsworthy and how to tell it across channels and formats.
  • Proven media relations professional with established journalist relationships and a history of securing meaningful earned coverage.
  • Experience in executive communications, including coaching and preparing senior leaders for media and public appearances.
  • Skilled at issues and crisis management, with sound judgment under pressure.
  • Proficient with editorial calendars, media monitoring tools, and analytics to measure impact and inform strategy.
  • Strong content creator across written, digital, and visual formats; photography, video, or design experience is a plus.
  • Highly proactive, entrepreneurial, and self-directed; you spot opportunities, take ownership, and see ideas through to execution.
  • Comfortable operating across functions and levels, with the business acumen to connect communications strategy to broader company goals.
