From the employer
About Flexion
At Flexion, we're building the intelligence layer powering the next generation of humanoid robots. Our mission is to accelerate the transition from fragile prototypes to real-world humanoid deployment. We are founded by leading scientists in robot reinforcement learning (ex-Nvidia, ex-ETH Zürich), and backed by leading international VC firms. In just months, we’ve gone from our first line of code to deploying real humanoid capabilities.
The role
Flexion Robotics is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to own and grow relationships with our strategic customers after they come on board.
Our customers are some of the world’s leading humanoid and robotics companies. You will be the primary business owner for a portfolio of strategic accounts, responsible for understanding their products, technical roadmaps, and business priorities; identifying opportunities to expand Flexion’s role within their platforms; and representing the customer internally across Product, Engineering, Operations, and leadership.
You will develop a deep understanding of each customer’s robotics stack, product roadmap, and go-to-market plans: where Flexion creates value today, where our technology can enable new capabilities next, and what is required to turn an initial engagement into a long-term strategic partnership.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary business point of contact for strategic customers following initial acquisition.
- Build trusted relationships across customer organizations, from engineering and product teams to founders and senior executives.
- Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s products, technical architecture, roadmap, business priorities, and decision-making processes.
- Identify and develop opportunities to expand Flexion across additional robot platforms, programs, capabilities, and product generations.
- Work closely with customers to understand upcoming requirements and identify where Flexion’s technology can create additional value.
- Drive strategic account planning and maintain a clear view of expansion opportunities, priorities, risks, and next steps.
- Represent customer needs, priorities, and feedback internally across Product, Engineering, Operations, and leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to move customer initiatives forward and ensure commercial and technical blockers are driven to resolution.
- Build alignment between customer roadmaps and Flexion’s product and technology direction.
- Help turn initial integrations and programs into broad, long-term strategic partnerships.
Requirements
- Experience owning strategic B2B customer relationships for deep-tech or highly technical products.
- Strong commercial instincts and the ability to identify and develop expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
- Strong technical fluency in robotics, AI, or adjacent technologies, with the ability to engage credibly with engineering and product teams.
- Ability to understand complex technical products and connect customer roadmaps to commercial opportunities.
- A high degree of ownership: you don’t simply escalate problems; you drive them to resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with senior executives.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation
- Enhanced pension plan
- Enhanced holiday & paid leave perks
- Relocation & permit sponsorship
- Central Zürich office with top-tier robotics testing facilities and infrastructure
- Joining Europe's leading robotics team & exposure to never-done-before research
- Energetic, collaborative culture with a bias for action and regular community events
