What you'll do

Responsibilities:

Contribute to planning, coordinating and executing the Bank’s involvement in conferences, trade shows, education sessions and mortgage broker appreciation events.

Assist in managing the annual event calendar, including sporting events.

Visit venues to plan layout of seating, menu, overall design and décor.

Coordinate event logistics – including researching, negotiating and securing event spaces, budget management, registration and attendee tracking, arranging presentation and / or marketing materials and promotional items.

Collaborate with internal Creative team to promote and publicize the event through channels such as email and social media.

Foster new and nurture ongoing relationships with external partners including event managers for brokerages and broker associations.

Organize and maintain inventory of event set-up equipment and marketing materials.

Assists with invoice management and reconciliation.

Contribute to the post-mortem evaluation of events to measure success and make optimization recommendations.
Knowledge / Skill Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event planning.

Post-secondary or college certification in Event Planning, Event Management or related program.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Good knowledge of event design, flow and logistics.

Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Capacity to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.

Proactive mindset with the ability to work well with tight timelines.

Ability to be onsite for events during the day and some evenings/weekends.
