In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers across designated industries and market segments.
  • Respond to customer enquiries, qualify opportunities, and convert leads into successful business outcomes.
  • Prepare and coordinate quotations in partnership with Sales Support, Customer Care, and other internal teams.
  • Follow up on opportunities and proposals to secure orders and strengthen customer engagement.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through customer conversations, industry events, presentations, marketing initiatives, and digital engagement activities.
  • Conduct market research and customer analysis to understand industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.
  • Create and execute account and sales plans aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate customer, opportunity and forecasting information within CRM and other business systems.
  • Collaborate across Emerson to identify broader solutions and cross-selling opportunities that enhance value for customers.
  • Promote Emerson's commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and ethical business practices in all activities.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to understand customer business drivers and operational challenges.
  • Experience using CRM systems and common business applications.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to safety, integrity and ethical business conduct.
  • A qualification in engineering, technology, science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of skills, training and practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in process control, measurement technologies, analytical instrumentation or industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of the Queensland industrial market and customer landscape.
  • Experience with forecasting, sales planning and strategic account management.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Salesforce or other enterprise business systems.
  • Experience presenting technical and commercial solutions to a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and developing new market opportunities.
  • Understanding of customer operations across industries such as mining, energy, chemicals, infrastructure or manufacturing.
