The Role:

The UK Trading team fuels UK growth by optimising online product sales on next.co.uk across Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear and Home. They drive exciting product launches and strategic promotions to maximise sales and brand visibility.

As the eCommerce Trading Lead within our UK Trading team, you will play a pivotal role delivering our Next Onsite Advertising (NextAds) strategy. You will bring a creative edge to online trading, collaborating with stakeholders to create marketing plans and Ads that deliver a truly inspirational customer experience while utilising commercial insights to drive incremental growth.

What You’ll Take On:

  • Oversee the end to end delivery of NextAds onsite marketing placements, from creative refresh rotations to building ads within our CMS, leveraging offshore teams to scale efficiency.
  • Review and report on the commercial performance of ads to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Work closely with Paid Media teams to align with and leverage existing marketing campaigns on site.
  • Support the Business Manager with management of the NextAds team workload and driving critical paths through to completion.
  • You will attend all relevant internal and external meetings, maintaining accurate administration of key business documents.
  • Contribute ideas for A/B tests and other optimisation initiatives to continually improve onsite advertising performance and the overall customer journey.
  • Work with creative teams to ensure template, copy & assets are optimised for best performance.
  • Collaborate with divisional trading teams to ensure onsite ads are featuring relevant products to help drive conversion for each division.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Previous experience working within an eCommerce Trading role, ideally at Lead level.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to a range of audiences and influence to win support for positive change and new ideas.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data and user behavior insights to inform commercial decisions.
  • Experience with working in a CMS would be an advantage
  • A good visual eye and experience working in a fashion based retailer.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced retail environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • A clear sense of vision, direction and belief, with perseverance and a desire to succeed.
