The Senior Manager, Business Development will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and advancing strategic partnership opportunities that support Resy’s growth and strengthen our value proposition for restaurants and diners.

This role will help shape and execute business development opportunities from initial strategy and partner evaluation through deal development, launch, and ongoing relationship management. You will develop a strong understanding of Resy’s business, restaurant and diner needs, and the broader dining and technology ecosystem to identify where partnerships can unlock new capabilities, experiences, and sources of value.

Success in this role requires strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, relationship management, and the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional initiatives. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and other teams to build business cases, evaluate opportunities, structure partnerships, and translate partnership strategy into execution.

  • Build compelling business cases and recommendations for prospective partnerships, incorporating strategic rationale, customer and partner value, financial considerations, competitive dynamics, and implementation requirements.
  • Develop and manage relationships with prospective and existing partners, serving as a key point of contact and helping identify opportunities to deepen and expand relationships over time.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to assess partnership opportunities and drive alignment from concept through execution.
  • Support commercial discussions and negotiations, including partnership economics, business terms, scope, success measures, and ongoing governance.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the dining, hospitality, and technology landscape and monitor emerging companies, capabilities, and trends that could create strategic opportunities for Resy.
  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and success measures for partnerships and regularly evaluate performance, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop materials and recommendations for senior leadership that clearly articulate partnership opportunities, tradeoffs, business impact, and proposed paths forward.
  • Help evolve the Business Development function by creating repeatable frameworks for evaluating opportunities, prioritizing partnerships, and managing strategic relationships.
  • 4+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate development, strategy, or a related role, with demonstrated experience evaluating and advancing external partnership opportunities.
  • Strong commercial and strategic judgment, with the ability to assess opportunities across strategic fit, customer value, economics, feasibility, and risk.
  • Experience developing business cases, financial analyses, partnership proposals, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with external partners and influence stakeholders across organizations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Operations to advance complex initiatives.
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear recommendations and compelling narratives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring structure and direction to ambiguous opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple workstreams, prioritize competing opportunities, and drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in business development or strategic partnerships within hospitality, restaurant technology, SaaS, marketplaces, consumer technology, fintech, or adjacent industries.
  • Experience supporting or negotiating commercial agreements and developing partnership structures and economics.
  • Experience working on technology-enabled partnerships involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the restaurant and hospitality technology ecosystem and the needs of restaurant operators and diners.
  • Experience developing new partnership opportunities from initial concept through launch and ongoing growth.
  • Passion for dining, hospitality, and building partnerships that create differentiated experiences for restaurants and consumers.
