Position Summary:
CVS Health is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Executive Director (ED), Growth Strategy, supporting Health100 Commercialization. As a key member of the Growth Strategy team, the ED will lead high-impact initiatives, provide strategic counsel, and guide high-performing strategy colleagues in solving the most critical challenges facing our healthcare industry.
This role will report into the Head of Growth & Profitability for Health100 and partner frequently with Health100 and CVSH business leaders at EVP and SVP level. The ED will lead strategic, operational, and fiscal initiatives that span the Health100 portfolio, working across business units to identify growth and partnership opportunities. This role can be remote or hybrid with expectation for 10-20% travel for in-person meetings with senior leaders and business teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Growth Strategy Development & Execution:
- Define long-term growth strategy for various healthcare sectors that Health100 is pursing
- Identify opportunities to enhance overall go-to-market strategy and capabilities through external partnerships
- Support client and external partner conversations and lead working sessions with external stakeholders
- Be a key leader on ad-hoc strategy projects for Health100 leadership, including scoping, managing cross-functional teams, and creating executive-ready presentations
- Market & Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor emerging industry trends, competitor actions, and disruptive forces across the Health100 portfolio to develop and deliver actionable strategic insights to the Health100 Leadership Team on an ongoing basis
- Stakeholder Management:
- Effectively facilitate large scale meetings and strategic workshops, including preparation and driving tangible outcomes.
- Develop materials with internal and external audiences, including audiences such as ELT leaders and Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with other enterprise teams including Corporate Development, Ventures, Finance, Legal, Government Affairs, Technology and Clinical
- Talent & Culture Leadership:
- Support building and leading a high-performing strategy through execution team and foster a culture of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and innovation.
- Directly manage and serve as mentor for junior strategy team members to strengthen the leadership team and the team’s ability to serve as strategic advisors to executives
Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of related experience at a top management consulting firm, in-house strategy team at a large health care company, investment bank, PE, venture capital or a related growth / strategy focus in a health care setting
- Requires significant subject matter expertise across healthcare, primarily Pharmacy and/or pharmacy benefit management, health plans, and life sciences
- Experience in digital ecosystems and AI-led automation is preferred
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives simultaneously, and leading cross-functional teams, including external advisors, on strategy deep dive projects
- Ability to lead a high-performing small team that provides consistent error-free analysis and recommendations to ELT and Board level stakeholders
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- MBA Degree Preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
