  • Improve handoffs between developers, buyers, and internal teams so transactions move forward
  • Use data to select the two or three process changes with the greatest potential impact

Who this fits

From the employer

We’re financing the future of energy

Crux is the capital platform for the clean economy. We modernize capital raising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure with solutions across advisory, investments, technology, and intelligence.

Our team of 120+ is composed of experts in energy, tax, finance, government, and technology. We have raised $77 million in capital from some of the best investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercarbon Capital, New System Ventures, Overture, Ardent Venture Partners, QED, Canapi, and others. These funds are joined by strategic investors including Pattern Energy, Clearway Energy, EDF Renewables, Intersect Power, LS Power, Orsted, Hartree Partners, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.

An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing

Energy demand is growing for the first time in decades, driving an urgent need for more affordable and reliable electricity. More electricity requires new clean energy infrastructure and strong domestic supply chains for minerals and components — as well as large amounts of capital.

Traditional project financing is opaque, fragmented, and analog. At Crux, we’re changing that. Through unmatched insights and expertise, white-glove service, purpose-built tools, and risk underwriting, we power a more prosperous, clean, and secure energy future.

We are scaling quickly and looking for team members who are eager to combine deep expertise with an AI and tech-forward mindset.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Revenue Strategy & Insights Lead to join our Operations team. Crux is scaling fast across Transferable Tax Credits, Debt, and Investments, where the complexity of cross-functional execution can impact deal velocity.. This role works directly in those handoff points: understanding the full GTM funnel, diagnosing what’s actually broken versus what just looks broken, and building the process and tooling to fix it. This is a high-horsepower operating role, not a traditional sales ops seat — it requires speaking finance fluently, earning trust with commercial teams on the ground, and bringing an outside perspective on what a stronger GTM motion looks like.

What You’ll Do

  • Work at the handoff points between, where deals slow down or fall through matching supply and demand across developers and buyers, and closing gaps in the transitions between teams

  • Build a full picture of the GTM funnel across Transferable Tax Credits, Debt, and Investments: what’s converting, what’s stalling, and why

  • Identify and prioritize the 2-3 highest-leverage process improvements, backed by data, not instinct

  • Partner with BizOps and Product to design and build the tooling needed to fix what you find, you’ll identify the problem, not just hand it off

  • Bring an outside-in perspective on GTM strategy: what a strong commercial motion looks like elsewhere, and where Crux’s diverges for good reason or bad

  • Embed with commercial teams to build trust and understand the deal firsthand — this isn’t a role you can do from a dashboard alone

  • Learn the language of both GTM and energy financing, and speak credibly to commercial teams and Crux leadership

What you bring

  • 5–10 years of professional experience, including:

    • Experience in finance, investing, management consulting, or another analytically rigorous environment.

    • Experience in an operating role leading cross-functional initiatives, strategic projects, or business operations.

  • Experience working with complex financial products, enterprise software, or other technical business domains, with the ability to translate between technical, financial, and commercial stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying root causes, synthesizing complex information, and driving data-informed decisions.

  • Experience designing, implementing, or improving operational processes, systems, or tooling in a high-growth or fast-paced environment from scratch.

  • Experience partnering across Finance, Commercial, Product, Engineering, or other cross-functional teams to improve business outcomes.

  • Experience balancing operational efficiency with stakeholder adoption and change management.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively across both finance and go-to-market organizations, influencing stakeholders with diverse priorities.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with pipeline management

  • RevOps experience driving commercial change

  • Background at a tech company or fintech
