The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles. 

About The Role

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to bridge business demand with Marketing Technology platform capabilities – with primary focus on marketing and sales enablement capabilities - ensuring disciplined, secure, and value-driven technical delivery. This role serves as the linchpin across agile squads, architecture, compliance, and support, guiding backlog strategy with a technical lens while ensuring operational readiness and governance alignment.  

This individual will translate Marketing and Distribution priorities into actionable technology roadmaps and backlogs. The role will lead feature-level delivery with a focus on platform adoption, integration, stability, scalability, security risk mitigation and measurable outcomes – owning both strategic planning and day-to-day platform integrity.

Responsibilities

Backlog management with a technical lens: 

  • Translate business priorities and demand into technology roadmaps, capabilities, epics, and prioritized backlog items.
  • Own and coordinate the technology roadmap for Marketing and Sales Enablement technology and associated integrations.
  • Leverage insight from tech trends, vendor roadmaps, and industry best practice to ensure customer and marketing technology capabilities remain scalable and fit-for-purpose  
  • Partner with architects and engineers to evaluate technical feasibility and business impact, avoiding tech debt and over-customization 
  • Ensure backlog items align with strategic priories and compliance requirements.  
  • Centralize demand across Marketing and Distribution stakeholders, govern vendor releases, and maintain an integrated roadmap to maximize platform value and reduce fragmentation.  

Development lifecycle governance: 

  • Collaborate with agile teams during delivery planning, backlog grooming, and reviews to ensure clarity and feasibility of delivery 
  • Enforce non-functional requirements (eg security, scalability, regulatory) are embedded in user stories 
  • Identify cross-platform dependencies across marketing, sales enablement, data, digital, and enterprise capabilities and facilitate resolution of design and delivery blockers.  
  • Support architectural reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture permits and design standards 
  • Coordinate business readiness, technology delivery, testing, release planning, and adoption for capabilities spanning multiple platforms and teams.

Support readiness and platform stability: 

  • Serve as the go-to liaison between Marketing and distribution stakeholders, application and platform teams, vendors, and support/DevSecOps functions.
  • Partner with support to address recurring issues and ensure production feedback informs backlog planning 
  • Own incidents, change log, and compliance alignment for audits and internal reviews related to marketing and sales enablement functionality.

Controls, compliance and reporting 

  • Ensure platform changes and release cycles meet internal audit, risk, and regulatory controls 
  • Collaborate with security, data privacy and legal teams to ensure compliance 
  • Track and report performance metrics including cycle time, defect rates, platform stability, adoption, utilization, and business value realization 
  • Define, implement, and report on success criteria for platform enhancements and strategic investments 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in technical product or application ownership, marketing technology, sales enablement technology, or customer/marketing capability delivery in a mid-to-large enterprise 
  • Strong understanding of customer and marketing technology and sales enablement ecosystems, including marketing automation, distributed marketing, digital engagement, and integrations with sales platforms for enhanced customer context.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams 
  • Familiarity with compliance-heavy environments (eg financial services, insurance, healthcare) 
  • Solid knowledge of platform and application governance practices, controls, and regulatory readiness
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business, technology, architecture, vendors, and delivery teams. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Distributed Marketing, Web experience and integrated sales enablement and marketing technology platforms.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator, Certified Product Owner (PSPO) ; broader Salesforce and Adobe platform cenrtifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and audit tooling 
  • Background in coordinating enterprise audits, change reviews, or ITGC control validation 

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $102,000 at the commencement of employment for the Jersey City, NJ and Woodland Hills, CA area.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Woodland Hills, CA, Jersey City, NJ, or Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
