Employment type: Full-time
Annual base salary: 75,000–80,000

About Core Ventures

Core Ventures operates Anytime Fitness and StretchLab locations, helping people build strength, improve mobility, and feel better in their everyday lives. Our businesses offer different services, but share a common purpose: building lasting relationships with members and creating welcoming, connected communities.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Director of Marketing who can translate business goals into effective marketing across both brands and individual locations.

You’ll own the marketing calendar, coordinate campaigns, strengthen our local presence, and give location leaders the tools they need to attract and engage members. You’ll balance brand-wide initiatives with the needs of individual clubs and studios, ensuring our marketing reflects each brand while connecting with the communities we serve.

This is a hands-on leadership position. Success requires someone who can set a direction, produce strong work, manage partners, and follow through on the details.

Key Responsibilities

Own Marketing Across Both Brands

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for Core Ventures’ Anytime Fitness and StretchLab locations.
  • Translate company growth goals into clear campaigns, budgets, timelines, and location-level priorities.
  • Maintain a coordinated marketing calendar covering promotions, content, community events, and seasonal opportunities.
  • Adapt national brand campaigns for local execution while following each franchise’s brand standards.

Drive Lead Generation and Membership Growth

  • Manage campaigns that generate qualified prospects and support membership sales.
  • Partner with operations and location leaders to connect marketing efforts with appointments, introductory visits, tours, and new memberships.
  • Evaluate the full customer journey—from initial interest through the first visit and membership decision—to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop referral, reactivation, and member engagement campaigns in partnership with operations.

Build a Strong Local Presence

  • Develop community partnerships with businesses, employers, and complementary organizations.
  • Support local events, cross-promotions, and outreach that introduce each location to prospective members.
  • Create repeatable marketing resources that location teams can use effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration between Anytime Fitness and StretchLab where relevant to the audience and consistent with brand requirements.

Lead Content and Campaign Execution

  • Oversee social media, email, paid advertising, local listings, and other relevant marketing channels.
  • Create or coordinate copy, visuals, and content that communicate the distinct value of each brand.
  • Work with location teams to capture authentic member stories, team highlights, and community content with appropriate permission.
  • Manage agency, freelance, and vendor relationships, including deliverables, deadlines, and performance.

Manage Performance and Spending

  • Own marketing budgets and recommend how to allocate spending across brands, locations, and channels.
  • Track qualified leads, cost per lead, appointments, show rates, membership conversion, and customer acquisition costs in collaboration with operations.
  • Provide clear reporting that explains what is working, where performance is falling short, and what should change.
  • Test offers, messaging, creative, and audiences, then apply findings to future campaigns.

What You Bring

  • Experience owning marketing campaigns from planning through execution and measurement.
  • A record of supporting customer acquisition or membership growth in a consumer-facing business.
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge, including paid media, social media, email, and local marketing.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to develop clear, compelling messaging for different audiences.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across multiple locations and competing deadlines.
  • Confidence working with business leaders, location managers, and outside partners.
  • Sound judgment about budgets, priorities, and marketing performance.
  • Experience in fitness, wellness, franchising, or another multi-location service business is preferred.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

What Success Looks Like

  • Each brand has a clear marketing plan, with location teams prepared to execute it.
  • Campaigns launch on time with consistent messaging and clear ownership.
  • Marketing reporting connects spending and activity to qualified prospects and membership outcomes.
  • Community partnerships and local outreach create measurable business opportunities.
  • Marketing and operations work together to improve acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000-$80,000
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Medical, dental, vision options
  • Simple IRA with company match
