From the employer

About the Role

A fast-growing AI infrastructure company — building the go-to platform for creating, training, and evaluating models in reinforcement learning (RL) environments — is looking for a Marketing & Events Lead to join their small, highly technical team in San Francisco.

This is a pivotal, high-ownership role at the intersection of technical storytelling, brand building, and community engagement. You'll shape how a complex, cutting-edge product is communicated to frontier AI labs, enterprises, and the broader RL research community — and run the events that bring that community together.

What You'll Do

  • Own and execute the overall marketing strategy and content calendar across channels.

  • Lead social media presence on Twitter/X and LinkedIn to grow audience, engagement, and inbound interest.

  • Ghostwrite high-quality content for founders that communicates product vision, insights, and platform wins.

  • Translate complex, technical product concepts (RL environments, post-training datasets, reward signals, agent evaluation) into clear, compelling narratives for a technical audience.

  • Develop and continuously refine brand voice, positioning, and storytelling across all channels.

  • Experiment with content formats and double down on what drives results.

  • Identify high-leverage event opportunities — conferences, hackathons, technical communities — where the target audience already gathers.

  • Plan and run high-quality, memorable events that reinforce brand and generate pipeline.

  • Support the founding team with event presence and talks.

  • Use analytics to measure content performance and continuously optimize strategy.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Proven experience managing social media channels (Twitter/X and LinkedIn) with a track record of growing audience and engagement.

  • Experience ghostwriting for founders or senior leaders at startups — communicating product vision, strategy, and wins.

  • Strong portfolio of writing that demonstrates the ability to understand and clearly explain technical products.

  • Ability to develop and own brand voice and messaging frameworks from scratch.

  • Experience planning and executing events end-to-end for technical communities (conferences, hackathons, meetups).

  • Comfort with analytics tools and content performance measurement to inform strategy.

  • Early-stage startup experience; able to work independently and move fast with limited direction.

Nice to Have:

  • Genuine excitement about frontier AI models and the future of RL training.

  • Background marketing AI/ML products, developer tools, or technical platforms.

  • An existing network within the RL research, RL engineering, or broader AI startup communities.

  • A clear point of view on how great technical companies build brand and tell stories.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 USD annually

  • Visa sponsorship is available

Location

This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. You'll work closely day-to-day with a small, technical founding team including Olympiad medalists and published AI researchers.
