Who this fits
This role suits a hands-on builder who can create a commercial motion from scratch and work closely with the CEO and founding team. From the employer
About the Role
This is a zero-to-one growth leadership role at an early-stage healthtech company building AI-powered reimbursement automation for interventional specialties — including Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Interventional Radiology. The platform addresses the full payor compliance lifecycle: benefits verification, medical necessity audits, prior authorization, and appeals.
As Head of Growth, you will own the entire go-to-market motion targeting medical device OEMs. You'll work directly with the CEO and founding team to define the ideal customer profile, close the first enterprise accounts, and build the repeatable sales infrastructure that shapes the company's commercial future. This role is equal parts strategic and hands-on — you'll be generating pipeline, running discovery, and signing contracts yourself.
What You'll Do
Source OEM leads and open relationships across market access and reimbursement teams at medical device companies.
Run structured discovery sessions to map OEM workflows and pinpoint where the platform delivers the most value.
Define and refine the ideal customer profile (ICP) and build a repeatable sales playbook for OEM partnerships.
Own OEM accounts end-to-end — from first outreach through signed contract and ongoing relationship management.
Represent the company at key industry conferences and cultivate community partnerships to expand market reach.
Research adjacent opportunities across procurement, market access intelligence, and reimbursement infrastructure.
Partner cross-functionally with product, clinical, and commercialization teams to translate OEM needs into roadmap priorities.
What We're Looking For
Required
4–7 years of experience working within medical device companies, with direct involvement in go-to-market and reimbursement-related initiatives.
Hands-on experience in reimbursement or market access — this is a firm requirement.
Deep understanding of the OEM ecosystem: how decisions are made, who holds budget authority, and how reimbursement risk translates to commercial outcomes.
Proven ability to source OEM leads and manage accounts from initial conversation through signed contract.
Comfortable running discovery sessions to identify workflow gaps and articulate product fit.
Based in New York City and available to work hybrid (in-person as needed) with willingness to travel for conferences.
Strongly Preferred
Experience in endovascular, cardiovascular, or interventional radiology specialties.
Cross-functional exposure spanning market access, reimbursement, supply chain, and R&D.
Actively integrates AI tools into daily workflow — a strong bonus signal for comfort with process automation and data-driven decision-making.
You're a great fit if you:
Thrive in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments and are energized by building rather than inheriting a playbook.
Can credibly engage with market access directors, reimbursement leads, and clinical stakeholders at OEM accounts.
Want meaningful ownership — of pipeline, strategy, and outcomes — at an early-stage company.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $130,000 – $200,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
Equity: Meaningful equity stake commensurate with the seniority and impact of the role.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in New York City, NY. In-office presence is expected when needed, along with periodic travel to industry conferences.
