Who We Are and The Importance of the Role:
- Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) works with mid-market and fast growth businesses across the world, especially clients with international presence and aspirations. The Middle East & Africa (MEA) CCB Services Sales Head will work closely with the CCB heads across CCB’s MEA footprint to serve Commercial Banking’s top clients & prospects in these markets across the full suite of Services products, as well as with the franchise leadership, Corporate, Commercial & Public sector (CCPS) sales, and Services product partners across the cluster and the broader Citi network. The incumbent will drive new client origination and share of wallet growth, manage a team of high performing individuals and be a senior expert in their field. This is a team leader role, expected to partner and influence decision makers across clients and within the bank with an aim to make Citi the go to international banking partner for our client segments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Grow Services wins and pipeline in MEA – both, locally headquartered and subsidiary businesses
- Deliver on ambitious Services revenue growth in MEA markets
- Lead, grow, coach and mentor your team, providing them with the resources and guidance to bring the best out of them
- Be subject matter expert for solution-based selling, and foster incoming talent with the right mindset
- Be an expert on all Services offerings both at the bank, and the broader market
- Collaborate with sales partners across verticals such as Trade, Cards and Issuer/Investor Services to drive incremental business
- Work with management on planning, resourcing, and market expansion
- Provide solutions for all escalated client issues and co-ordinate resolution ensuring best possible client experience.
- Keep the management team updated on progress of the team’s performance, with a plan on how to solve for potential challenges
- Establish regular cadence to review business progress with exco leadership in both CCB and Services
- Actively participate in and contribute to globally strategic initiatives for CCB-Services
- Act as a bridge between clients, banking, and product partners, distilling and communicating key client asks and competitive market developments
- Be an ambassador for CCB-Services in the market, building client engagement and commercializing the latest solutions.
Skills that will help you in the Role:
- Expert on MEA Cash Management & Trade solutions, understanding market forces and drivers
- Experience in managing people, demonstrating how you have helped them develop in their careers
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, collaboration across functions and geographies, and stakeholder management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deliverables both for clients and internally
- Experience in managing client relationships, ability to influence others to support client needs
- Know where to apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
- Communication, analytical, and quantitative skills for effective presentations, pitches and conversions. Ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex ideas
- Ability to identify problems and solutions leveraging cash product propositions, business drivers, policies, customer needs and market trends
- Demonstrate thought leadership, vision and execution capability for future ambition and growth
- In-depth knowledge of regulations, market practices and bank operations.
Qualifications:
- Extensive commercial banking experience and treasury and trade solutions knowledge
- Proven track record of initiating, executing and growing complex client relationships
- Bachelor's degree, potentially Master's degree
