Senior Manager, Business Lending Portfolio Marketing
The Senior Manager, Business Lending Portfolio Marketing is responsible for leading the marketing strategy and execution for CommBank's Business Lending portfolio. This role partners closely with Product, Distribution, , Analytics and Digital teams to drive portfolio growth, customer engagement and commercial outcomes across the lending lifecycle.
With accountability for a significant lending portfolio, the role develops integrated marketing strategies that balance acquisition, portfolio growth and customer retention through performance marketing, paid media and highly personalised 1:1 customer communications. Using customer, commercial and market insights, the Senior Manager identifies opportunities to improve portfolio performance, optimise investment and deliver measurable business outcomes.
This role requires a strong commercial mindset, an understanding of lending products and customer needs, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex, matrix organisation. The successful candidate will bring together product marketing excellence, data-driven decision making and customer-centric thinking to deliver growth while ensuring strong governance and regulatory compliance.
The role provides leadership across a cross-functional delivery model and is responsible for leading 2–3 indirect team members and agency partners to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end marketing strategy for the Business Lending portfolio, aligning marketing activity to commercial, customer and portfolio objectives.
- Develop and execute integrated product marketing plans across paid media, owned channels and personalised 1:1 communications to drive acquisition, utilisation, retention and portfolio growth.
- Partner with Product, Lending, Distribution, Digital, Analytics and Customer Engagement teams to identify growth opportunities and optimise portfolio performance.
- Translate commercial priorities, customer insights and performance data into actionable marketing strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Lead campaign development from strategy through execution, optimisation and post-campaign evaluation, ensuring continual improvement.
- Manage marketing investment across the portfolio, balancing performance outcomes, customer experience and commercial return.
- Influence senior stakeholders through clear recommendations, performance reporting and evidence-based decision making.
- Champion customer-centric product marketing, ensuring propositions are compelling, differentiated and aligned to customer needs.
- Ensure all marketing activity meets governance, regulatory and brand requirements.
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams and indirect reports to deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex matrix environment.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience
- 8+ years' experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing or integrated marketing within financial services, banking or a comparable commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of lending products and customer lifecycle marketing is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience managing large commercial portfolios and translating business strategy into measurable marketing outcomes.
- Proven commercial acumen with the ability to interpret portfolio, financial and customer performance data to drive decision making.
- Experience leading performance marketing programs across paid media, digital acquisition and optimisation.
- Strong experience developing and executing personalised lifecycle and CRM/1:1 communication strategies.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs within a matrix organisation, driving alignment across Product, Analytics, Digital, Risk and Marketing teams.
- Experience leading indirect teams and agency partners to deliver outcomes through collaboration and influence.
- Strong understanding of governance, regulatory requirements and risk management within a highly regulated environment.
