Directs the development of strategic and annual business plans for increasing VIP revenue from the different sales channels. Responsible for the implementation and execution of business plans to achieve desired revenue and profitability results. Additionally, responsible for creating a sales culture and environment that promotes increasing customer trips and driving VIP gross gaming revenues, teamwork, and unparalleled customer service and relationship building with our VIP segments. Ensure performance standards are achieved with regard to operating procedures, internal audits, regulatory compliance, and budgeted expenses.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLILITES

Manages employees in the Player Development Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, pocedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: VIP Host, Executive Casino Host, and Executive Casino Host Special Market

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Player Development Department.

  • Build and manage a diverse sales culture focused on driving incremental VIP revenue by motivating and inspiring the Player Development team to deliver Family Style Service and build a strong lasting relationship with our VIP guests.

  • Responsible for preparing the annual business plans and budgets to ensure the appropriate focus and resources are in place to target and frow the revenue contribution from our Executive Casino Host and Executive Casino Host Special Market, inside sales and VIP host business channels.

  • Play integral role in ensuring the proper marketing programming is in place to solicit customer response, from telemarketing, to special events and direst mail.

  • Ensure the team is properly and fully utilizing the contact management and telemarketing tools developed by Ceasars Entertainment to drive customer trips and gross gaming revenues from the VIP and hosted business channels.

  • Controls expenses relative to plan, and sets policies that clearly communicates the reinvestment strategy and tactics targeted to Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing &Casino VIP and casino hosted customer segments.

  • Responsible for regularly monitoring the competitive environment locally, regionally and nationally to identify opportunities and potential threats to achieving the revenue plan and key business initiatives for the player development department.

  • Make adjustments accordingly and ongoing to the business in order to leverage the strengths of the property, the opportunities in Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino key competitive markets and to eliminate or minimize imminent competitive threats.

  • Responsible for the recruitment of new hosts as the business dictates, and to ensure all new hires have the requisite training and tools in a timely fashion to ensure each new sales associate is positioned for success.

  • Develop and implement procedures and quality control systems to ensure the highest standards of VIP benefit delivery, data integrity and proactive guest service.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years’ experience in marketing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to occasionally push/pull or lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and Indiana Horse Racing Commission. Will require access to all general areas of the gaming and racing facility, back-of-house areas and access to payroll/HR information, and complete access to the patron information/data base, and budgetary information.
  • Ability to work in an environment where you are exposed to secondary smoke and the noise level in the working environment is usually moderate too high.
