About the role:

The Strategic Account Senior Manager will own and develop Boston Scientific Mexico’s relationships with priority private strategic accounts, serving as the One Boston commercial lead across Business Units. This role will translate customer priorities into integrated account strategies, joint business plans and portfolio solutions that expand access, strengthen long-term partnerships and deliver profitable cross-Business Unit growth.

The role will build multi-year partnerships in which Boston Scientific and each institution jointly develop and quantify value for both parties. With dedicated ownership of an assigned portfolio of priority private corporate hospital groups and strategic individual accounts, this role will lead account strategy, executive engagement, commercial coordination, governance and performance follow-up while partnering across Business Units and functions.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic account planning and growth

  • Develop and maintain fact-based account strategies and joint business plans that reflect customer priorities, stakeholder dynamics, competitive position and cross-Business Unit growth opportunities.
  • Define account objectives, penetration priorities and action plans, identifying opportunities to expand Boston Scientific’s portfolio and coordinating execution with Business Units and functional partners.

Executive customer engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite leaders, procurement, finance, medical leadership and other influential clinical, administrative and economic decision-makers, serving as the primary corporate contact for strategic discussions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each institution’s business goals, operating model, decision processes and supplier frameworks to strengthen Boston Scientific’s position as a preferred strategic partner.

Cross-Business Unit orchestration and governance

  • Align Business Units and functional partners around account priorities, roles, engagement cadence and customer commitments, coordinating resources to resolve barriers and deliver a consistent One Boston customer experience.
  • Design and lead the governance and review architecture for assigned accounts, including internal and customer-facing forums, participants, agendas, frequency, decision rights and follow-up.
  • Maintain stakeholder maps, assign relationship ownership across account teams and executive sponsors, and coordinate senior-leader engagement with institutional counterparts.

Portfolio solutions and negotiations

  • Shape integrated value propositions that combine relevant products, services, health-economic evidence and customer-specific solutions aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Lead or coordinate corporate-level negotiations involving portfolio, pricing, product mix, volume commitments, contracts and service models in alignment with approved governance and Business Unit decision rights.
  • Monitor contract adoption, consumption and customer commitments, escalating risks and coordinating corrective actions as appropriate.

Business performance and account intelligence

  • Track account performance, cross-Business Unit sales development, share-of-wallet indicators, portfolio penetration, pricing and execution of agreed initiatives, maintaining accurate information in designated commercial systems.
  • Provide actionable customer and market insights to Business Units and functional teams while ensuring account strategies, commercial proposals and business models comply with applicable regulations, Boston Scientific’s code of conduct and internal policies.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in medical devices, diagnostics, health technology, health care services or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging C-suite and corporate decision-makers within health care institutions and shaping strategic commercial agreements at the executive level.
  • Experience developing strategic account plans, joint business plans, stakeholder influence maps and account governance models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build cross-functional relationships to deliver results within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience co-creating customer solutions aligned with strategic priorities and measuring delivered value throughout the life of the agreement.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mexican private hospital ecosystem and its commercial and decision-making dynamics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing strategic relationships with multi-site hospital networks and navigating corporate and local decision-making structures.
  • Background in strategic or key account management.
  • Exposure to long-term, risk-sharing or outcomes-based contracting models.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, strategic thinking and sound judgment when navigating complex or ambiguous commercial situations.
