From the employer

About Bolo AI

Bolo AI is building the AI company for heavy industry.

These are the sectors the world depends on: energy, utilities, manufacturing, and industrial operations. They have been underserved by modern software and AI for too long. We are changing that with AI built for their messy, high-stakes operational reality.

Customers are already using Bolo to catch critical equipment failures, recover hidden cost impact, automate operational workflows, and put decades of industrial data to work.

Backed by True Ventures, Benchstrength, Accomplice, Analog Ventures, and Beat Ventures, we are a small, AI-native team working close to the customer to make their daily work faster, safer, and better.

The Role

We’re hiring a founding product marketer to help build a category-defining company in AI for heavy industry.

Working directly with the founder, you will turn Bolo’s customer traction, product depth, and point of view into market presence. You will own positioning, messaging, sales enablement, customer proof, and content, starting as a team of one with agency partners for leverage.

This is a rare chance to build the marketing function from the ground up in a market that is large, underserved, and finally ready for AI that works in its operational reality.

This role is hybrid, working from our Palo Alto office three days a week. You will sit in on sales calls and customer conversations, because marketing this product well means knowing the customer’s world firsthand. Some minimal travel is expected.

What You'll Do

  • Own Bolo's positioning and messaging, keeping it sharp and consistent across our website, sales materials, and every customer touchpoint
  • Partner with sales to build enablement that moves deals forward: pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and competitive materials
  • Translate new product capabilities into clear, compelling launches and communications, working closely with product and engineering
  • Turn customer deployments into proof points and case studies that are credible to a technical industrial audience
  • Run a consistent content rhythm across our website, LinkedIn, and email
  • Manage agency and freelance partners, including our events agency, to a high quality bar and a unified message
  • Build AI into every marketing workflow, so one person delivers the output of a team

What Success Looks Like

  • Prospects already know Bolo when sales reaches out, and we can trace it to marketing
  • Our named target accounts in energy engage with our content and convert into conversations
  • Within a year, analysts, conference audiences, and prospects associate "agentic AI for heavy industry" with Bolo

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience with depth in product marketing, ideally at a high-growth startup
  • Exceptional writing and editing, with clear judgment about what separates great marketing from mediocre
  • A track record of shipping end-to-end: you have taken campaigns, launches, or content programs from idea to measurable results
  • Fluency with AI tools as part of your daily marketing practice, with examples of work you have built and scaled with them
  • Comfort with ambiguity and low structure: you would rather build the playbook than inherit one
  • Ambition to grow into product marketing leadership as the company scales

Energy or industrial experience is nice-to-have, but not required. We will immerse you in the domain; you bring the marketing craft.
