You will own a portfolio of accounts and new business pursuits across Western Canada, leading opportunities from origination through close. You will work closely with regional leadership, delivery, solution, and alliance teams to build pipeline and convert priority wins, and you will lead a team of five Business Development Managers.
What you'll do:
Own sales outcomes for a defined portfolio of accounts and new logo pursuits across Western Canada
Contribute to the regional go-to-market plan in partnership with sales, delivery, and ecosystem partners
Lead end-to-end sales cycles — pipeline generation, deal shaping, commercial constructs, proposals, and closing
Build and maintain senior client relationships, engaging through workshops, value-based presentations, and account reviews
Partner with Microsoft and ecosystem partners to co-sell, originate, and grow pipeline
Lead a team of five Business Development Managers, with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, and performance development
Support and mentor sales colleagues, solution architects, and pursuit teams; contribute to reusable sales assets
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, sales reporting, and commercial discipline
Build market presence and brand awareness in the region through industry engagement and networking

Skills & Experience:
8+ years of sales or solution experience in IT services, consulting, or digital transformation (Microsoft ecosystem strongly preferred)
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and influence senior stakeholders
Experience selling across Microsoft technologies — cloud (Azure), modern workplace, business apps, and data/AI
Deal shaping, commercial acumen, and business case development for solution-led engagements
Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a small sales team
Bachelor's degree in business or technology (or equivalent experience)
Skills:
Strong client presence and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships
Clear influencing and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Disciplined pipeline, opportunity, and forecast management
Ability to work in a matrixed, fast-paced, global environment
Preferred qualifications
Experience selling managed services, outsourcing, or transformation deals
Experience integrating service partners and ecosystem players into commercial constructs
Microsoft Certifications and/or relevant industry certifications

Success in this role is measured by revenue growth, deal conversion, pipeline health, client satisfaction, and the development and performance of your team of five across the Western Canada portfolio.

As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
