What you’ll do
We’re looking for a highly motivated Key Account Manager to join our team and lead strategic partnerships with institutional customers in the Rare Diseases space. Please note this position covers half of the country, the Territory will be in the Western part of Slovakia with a requirement to travel up to 2.5 hours to visit customers.

Key responsibilities
- Continuously develop and manage a portfolio of key customers across Slovakia, actively seeking and leveraging business opportunities to grow AstraZeneca’s presence and deepen customer insights.
- Engage customers using AstraZeneca’s approved engagement channels and share key information and insights to inform strategic and operational decisions. You will analyze regional sales potential, plan and adapt sales initiatives, and execute promotional activities in line with our product strategy and SmPC.
- Collaborate closely with the franchise team, product managers, and other business unit colleagues to maximize outreach and impact.
- Reporting on KPIs, monitoring competitive activities, and coordinating special sales offers and programs will all be part of your dynamic day-to-day activities. Naturally, all actions must be taken in compliance with applicable legislation, internal ethical standards, and codes of conduct.
- Among your responsibilities will be to regularly define and update key customer targets, map their needs, and adapt your approach in line with evolving insights and feedback.
- You will support effective communication within the organization, coordinate with business and logistics partners, and act swiftly to relay any product or patient safety information, ensuring full compliance with pharmacovigilance obligations and company policies.
Your profile
- Experience working in Original Pharma within a commercial sales position.
- Experience working in Generics Pharma, with a degree in Medical Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields
- A self-driven professional with the ability to independently manage and optimize their territory.
- Strong ability, or potential to develop it, in engaging and influencing decision making among key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, e.g., mid and senior level specialty care professionals, key accounts in the medical community.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with both commercial and medical stakeholders, with the ability to adapt language and terminology to suit each audience.
- Collaborative and inclusive: exercise anticipation and responsiveness to the needs of others; ability to modify own approach to different people.
- Fluent Slovak and advanced English and literacy in common corporate technology
