argenx is a global immunology company developing therapies for individuals living with autoimmune diseases. argenx is building a world-class portfolio of biologics in both early and late stages of development. VYVGART® / VYVGART Hytrulo® (efgartigimod) is approved for generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) and is being evaluated for several additional indications, including three rheumatology indications: autoimmune myositis, Sjogren’s disease and systemic sclerosis.

The Director, US HCP Marketing will develop strategies and execute HCP-focused initiatives for argenx’s upcoming autoimmune myositis launch. The role will help create an integrated customer experience across field, digital, media, and peer-to-peer channels and will support:

  • Development of unbranded strategy and tactics, including messaging, materials, media, and execution to support market development
  • Development of brand launch strategy and tactics, including the brand campaign, messaging, materials, media, and execution to support promotion of VYVGART Hytrulo
  • Development and execution of peer-to-peer education, advisory boards, speaker bureau content, and training materials
  • Development of integrated omnichannel plans that coordinate personal and non-personal engagement across the customer journey

This role will report to the Senior Director of US HCP Marketing, Rheumatology Lead, and will partner closely with internal cross-functional partners and external agencies to plan and implement integrated personal and non-personal engagement for autoimmune myositis. In close collaboration with the broader HCP Community, this role will support VYVGART Hytrulo® brand strategy and pull-through across the Commercial Field Team, KOL engagement, and media and digital channels. The Director will also deliver on key brand expectations, including Brand Planning, Launch Readiness, and Quarterly Business Reviews.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategy and execution of the autoimmune myositis disease state education campaign, including messaging, creative development, channel planning, and measurement
  • Support US launch readiness through the development and execution of the HCP branded VYVGART Hytrulo strategy, messaging, content strategy, promotional assets, and tactical plan
  • Shape and support the execution of integrated HCP media and omnichannel plans across unbranded and branded channels
  • Plan and execute commercial advisory boards, including advisor selection, workshop design, stimuli development, and synthesis of insights to inform cross-functional decision-making
  • Support the strategy and execution of peer-to-peer education programs, including speaker bureau content, speaker training, program execution, and ongoing optimization
  • Ensure readiness of materials and engagement plans for the cross-functional Commercial Field Organization, including territory business managers (TBMs), field clinical educators (FCEs), and thought leader liaisons (TLLs)
  • Collaborate and co-create with US and Global Marketing, Marketing Operations, Field Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Business Analytics, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, and agency partners to deliver a coordinated HCP customer experience
  • Work closely with Legal, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to navigate the Promotional Material Review process and ensure the timely, compliant development of HCP-directed tactics
  • Develop and mentor HCP marketing team members to strengthen team and brand performance and build marketing skills and capabilities
  • Lead agency partners across strategy, creative, media, and execution, while managing multiple simultaneous projects, resources, and budgets to ensure deliverables are on time and aligned with business objectives

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • The US commercial organization is Boston-based; this person must be in the office as needed to support key planning and coordination meetings
  • BS/BA degree (science or business degree preferred); MBA is a plus
  • 10 years of experience in marketing and/or relevant commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Experience effectively managing external agency partners, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal/external stakeholders to effectively implement strategies and programs
  • Agility, proven ability to influence without authority and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to achieve positive results. Entrepreneurial spirit and ownership mentality, willingness to roll up sleeves and flexibility to jump in where the business needs dictate
  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment governing pharmaceutical promotion
  • Strong project management, communication, and organization skills
  • Experience in rheumatology preferred
  • US launch readiness experience preferred
  • Travel 30%
