- Fluent English, willingness to travel, and the ability to turn scientific findings into practical applications

Key responsibilities
1. Technical Service
- Prepare and execute high‑quality tests on personal care formulations and raw materials, showcasing the performance of Ajinomoto ingredients through scientifically rigorous formulation work and deep expertise in cutting‑edge technologies.
- Interpret experimental data with precision and maintain strict, compliant documentation standards, reflecting strong hands‑on research capabilities.
- Explore, design, and validate proof‑of‑concept formulations that highlight innovation potential.
- Collaborate closely with Ajinomoto’s global technical support network, engaging with technical experts across international affiliates to exchange insights, align on best practices, and strengthen global knowledge sharing.
2. Marketing
- Identify and analyze emerging market and consumer trends, transforming insights into actionable recommendations by reviewing market data, attending industry events, and visiting potential customers and distributors.
- Co‑develop the marketing strategy to ensure strong alignment with business priorities and market opportunities.
- Lead and deliver assigned technical and marketing projects that elevate the visibility and promotion of Ajinomoto’s product portfolio.
- Partner with distributor technical teams to actively support and enhance the promotion and positioning of Ajinomoto materials in the market.
3. General Sales Support
- Empower internal stakeholders by coaching them on technical topics and guiding them in the effective execution of the marketing strategy.
- Prepare analyses, data summaries, technical papers, and reports that enable the sales team to clearly demonstrate the value and performance of Ajinomoto products and technologies to customers and professional associations.
Profile
- Master’s degree in cosmetics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or physics
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in formulation within the personal care & cosmetics industry, marketing experience is a plus
- Strong scientific creativity and proven technical proficiency
- Solid working knowledge of laboratory safety and general lab procedures.
- Skilled in handling customer questions and complaints in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, digital) for all levels of stakeholders, including non-technical audiences. Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
- Ability to translate scientific insights into practical applications.
