The Director, Employee Communications & Engagement leads communications and engagement programs that strengthen employee connection, understanding and advocacy throughout the employee journey.

Based in Los Angeles, California, the Director sits within the Global Communications team and reports to the Vice President, Global Brand & Creative. Working in partnership with enterprise functions, regional communications, and other Global Communications teams, this role develops communications strategies and messaging that reinforce culture, support business priorities, and create a consistent employee experience.

The Director also oversees internal editorial and communications channels, employee listening, and a high-performing team responsible for employee communications and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Communications Strategy & Channels

Help shape and lead the activation of the global employee communications and engagement strategy, aligning communications with enterprise, people and business priorities

Serve as a senior communications advisor to enterprise partners, leading communications for major programs, organizational initiatives and transformation efforts

Partner with other Global Communications teams to help shape editorial priorities and governance for global employee communications channels

Oversee day-to-day management of global employee communications channels, ensuring content is timely, relevant, coordinated and aligned with editorial priorities

Employee Engagement & Experience

Lead engagement, culture and employee experience initiatives that strengthen connection, pride, advocacy and alignment with company values and purpose

Activate the employee value proposition across key moments of the employee journey through campaigns, experiences, content and storytelling

Partner across regions, business lines and functions to deliver a consistent employee experience and support culture and change initiatives

Help shape employee listening and measurement strategies, translating analytics into insights and recommendations that improve communications and engagement

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and develop a high-performing global team, setting priorities and fostering collaboration to deliver on objectives

Build a future-ready function by advancing AI fluency, digital capabilities and emerging practices that improve team effectiveness, audience insights and employee experiences

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field

At least 12 years of progressive experience in employee communications, engagement, employee listening or related disciplines or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
At least 4 years of leadership experience

Demonstrated experience shaping and activating enterprise-wide communications and engagement strategies

Experience partnering with senior executives and HR leaders

Strong change communications and stakeholder management capabilities

Experience leading and developing teams in a complex, matrixed organization

Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation and executive advisory skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting global organizations and geographically dispersed workforces

Background in employee engagement, culture transformation, organizational change or HR communications

Experience leveraging employee insights, survey data and analytics to inform communications strategies

Familiarity with employer branding, employee advocacy and talent attraction initiatives

Understanding of AI and emerging technologies and their impact on communications, employee experience and enterprise transformation, with the ability to apply relevant innovations to improve team effectiveness
