Mid-level Community Marketing role at Adaptyv. Lausanne · full-time.

Role brief

Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • You’ll run daily posts on X and LinkedIn, including product news, customer results, blog promotion, and field reactions
  • You’ll manage Proteinbase through its newsletter, Slack, competitions, updates, and designer features
  • You’ll handle participant communication, rules, judging logistics, and recaps for competitions and hackathons
  • You’ll turn events into public outputs such as leaderboards, datasets, and blog posts
  • You’ll sort community and customer messages and send technical questions to the right teammates

What you bring

  • You have one to three years of social, content, or community work in a technical or science-adjacent setting
  • You write with a clear, distinctive voice across announcements, replies, and community updates
  • You can follow technical discussions about protein design and AI without needing the basics explained
  • You stay organized across channels, partnerships, and ongoing conversations while building tracking systems
  • You can make sound publishing decisions when no editorial plan or established playbook exists

Who this fits

You’ll suit this role if you can operate independently across social, community, events, and customer communication. You’ll work closely with founders and the science team, with on-site or remote work possible if you overlap with US or European time zones. Expect occasional travel to Lausanne and to events.

From the employer

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments.

We're entering the era of agentic science where AI models can now design novel proteins, propose hypotheses, and iterate on experimental results. But they can't run the experiments themselves - that's still a manual, months-long process. We're building the infrastructure that gives AI agents access to the physical world.

We are one of the fastest growing biotech companies, trusted by leading biopharmas, frontier AI labs, and the techbio companies pushing the field forward. This is a rare chance to help advance some of the most important work happening in biotech today.

Our automated lab is powered by a deep software + hardware stack: lab instruments worth millions of USD reverse-engineered into API-controllable hardware, dozens of devices orchestrated through complex workflows, full observability on everything that happens in the lab, processing pipelines for messy physical-world data, and AI systems that troubleshoot production results and accelerate assay development.

We’re growing rapidly and are hiring for talented people to scale and support the massive demand for AI-driven wet lab experimentation.

About the role

You'll be the person who makes sure Adaptyv shows up well in public, every day. That means managing our social presence across X and LinkedIn, running the Proteinbase community, owning the participant side of our open competitions and hackathons, and triaging inbound community and customer messages. Whatever it takes to keep our community-facing surface area healthy as we grow.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You'll be the go-to person for anything community: content, social, events, and the day-to-day rhythm of how Adaptyv talks to the outside world. You'll work closely with the founders and the science team, and you'll have a direct impact on how the protein design and AI bio communities experience us.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Adaptyv's day-to-day social presence on X and LinkedIn: product updates, customer wins, blog amplifications, conference content, and reactive posts on what's happening in the field.

  • Run the Proteinbase community day-to-day: newsletter, competition updates, designer spotlights, and the Slack where participants and contributors gather.

  • Own the participant-facing side of our open competitions and hackathons, from applicant communication and rules through to judging logistics and post-event recaps. Turn each event into a public artifact (leaderboard, dataset, blog post).

  • Triage inbound community and customer messages, routing deeper technical questions to the right person on the team.

  • Coordinate with the founders and the science team on what to post, what to amplify, and what to hold.

What we're looking for

  • 1-3 years running social, content, or community for a technical company, a science-adjacent media brand, an event series, or a community platform. Self-built audiences and adjacent experience count equally.

  • A strong, distinctive writing voice. You move between LinkedIn announcements, customer replies, and community posts without defaulting to generic AI phrasing.

  • Genuine curiosity about biology and AI. No science degree required, but you should be able to follow technical conversations in protein design and AI without needing them explained.

  • Highly organized. You'll juggle multiple channels, partnerships, and ongoing threads simultaneously, and build the systems to track them.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity. There is no editorial calendar or playbook. You'll decide what's worth posting based on what we're shipping and what the field is discussing.

  • Bonus: existing presence in protein design or AI bio circles, prior experience running a hackathon or competition, short-form video editing, or a track record of building a technical community from scratch.

Location: On-site or remote, with timezone overlap with US or Europe. Occasional travel to Lausanne and to events.
