What you’ll do

 

We are looking for a Marketing Executive focused on social media & PR to join the marketing team at SLS Barcelona. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the hotel’s social media and PR strategy, strengthening the visibility and positioning of the hotel and its F&B outlets, and building meaningful relationships with media, influencers and key partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the social media strategy for the hotel and its outlets, ensuring a consistent and distinctive brand presence across all relevant platforms.
  • Manage the hotel’s social media accounts, including content planning, publishing, community management and day-to-day engagement.
  • Develop and maintain the editorial and content calendar, coordinating content creation with internal teams, agencies, photographers, videographers and other creative partners as required.
  • Identify opportunities to create engaging, relevant and on-brand content that showcases the hotel, its outlets, experiences, talent and unique positioning.
  • Monitor social media performance, community sentiment and relevant trends, using insights to continuously improve content and engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets, influencers, KOLs and other relevant industry contacts.
  • Identify and proactively pursue relevant editorial, social media and PR opportunities for the hotel and its outlets.
  • Coordinate and manage press trips, media visits, influencer stays, events, launches and other PR activations.
  • Prepare and coordinate press materials, including press releases, media pitches, fact sheets, imagery and other relevant communications.
  • Coordinate with external PR, social media and creative agencies when required, ensuring deliverables are aligned with the hotel’s objectives and brand standards.
  • Manage and conduct the first filter of partnership, collaboration and sponsorship proposals, assessing their relevance, brand fit and potential value.
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing events, activations and campaigns, ensuring strong social and PR amplification.
  • Collaborate closely with the hotel’s operational, F&B, sales and commercial teams to identify stories, experiences and opportunities that can be leveraged across social media and PR.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, emerging platforms, hospitality and lifestyle trends, and relevant media and influencer landscapes.
  • Track and report on key social media and PR activity, including performance, reach, engagement, media coverage and relevant KPIs.

What we are looking for...

 

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • +3 years of experience in social media, PR, marketing or communications, ideally within hospitality, luxury, lifestyle, F&B or a relevant consumer-facing industry.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, community management and digital trends.
  • Experience developing and managing social media content calendars and campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Highly creative, with a strong eye for visual content, storytelling and brand positioning.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
