The Role and What You’ll Do:


160over90 is seeking an Account Executive to join a dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day servicing of a client’s global football and rugby sponsorships. The position will report to the Account Manager and is based in San Francisco.


  • Support the planning and delivery of client programs leading up to and throughout the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ as well as the Rugby World Cup, spanning global and local market initiatives, hospitality and other partnership activations.
  • Manage premiums, merchandise, brand assets, imagery and video content supporting both partnerships.
  • Manage the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ Public Viewing Event licensing process for the client in coordination with FIFA and relevant property stakeholders.
  • Manage Trophy appearance workstreams, including planning, coordination, approvals and logistics.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for the client, agency partners, property stakeholders, vendors and other key partners involved in sponsorship planning and execution.
  • Conduct research and develop client-ready materials including POVs, activation plans, competitive analyses and ongoing reporting informed by the client’s product category, partnerships, relevant industry trends and the broader football and rugby landscapes.
  • Support strategic planning for the global sponsorship team, identifying opportunities to maximize the value and impact of client sponsorships.
  • Coordinate across global, regional and local teams to drive alignment, consistency and efficiencies across tournament-related workstreams.
  • Manage sponsorship-related project administration, including timelines, approvals, trackers, meeting materials, status updates and other key documentation.
  • Support on-site tournament planning and execution in Brazil and/or Australia as required.
  • Assist with FIFA approvals for partnership assets and content, coordinating submissions, required materials, feedback and status tracking across global and local teams.
  • Support budget management and financial tracking across assigned FIFA workstreams, helping ensure programs are delivered within approved scopes and budgets.
  • Support measurement and reporting across partnership programs and activations, including tracking key deliverables, results and post-program learnings against established client objectives.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of agency or client-side experience in sponsorship account management, property management, sports marketing or a related field.
  • Experience working within women’s sports and/or football/soccer/rugby platforms or properties.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing sponsorship marketing strategies and programs on behalf of clients or brands.
  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day relationships with clients, agencies, vendors, rights holders and other key stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting the development, negotiation and execution of sponsorship programs and activations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple projects and deliver against deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, markets and workstreams while maintaining alignment and consistency.
  • Practical experience supporting on-site event marketing operations, logistics and activation execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable and proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, with a strong understanding of sports business and sponsorship marketing.
  • Genuine interest in football and rugby strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel internationally, including extended periods in Brazil surrounding the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ and Australia for Rugby World Cup.
