Who this fits

This role suits someone who can independently choose, plan, and run events for AI engineers and technical buyers, then judge success by meetings and pipeline. You’ll work fully in person between the Palo Alto headquarters and San Francisco office. The job also requires close coordination with sales before and after each event.

From the employer

About us

Parallel is a web infrastructure company. Our products are used by leading businesses in sales, marketing, insurance, and coding to build best-in-class AI agents with flexible and powerful programmatic access to the web.

We've raised $230 million from Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, First Round, and Terrain to build the web for AIs. We're currently valued at $2 billion and we're forming a world-class team of engineers, designers, marketers, sellers, researchers, and operational experts to achieve our mission.

Job: You will own Parallel's presence in the field. You'll build and run the event engine — conferences, hackathons, meetups, executive dinners, and partner co-marketing events — that puts Parallel in front of AI engineers and technical buyers. Which events we invest in, how we show up, and what pipeline comes out the other side are your decisions. You'll own the budget, the target lists, and the logistics end to end, with no coordinator behind you. You'll build target lists with the sales team before every event and run the follow-up motion after, so no lead dies in a spreadsheet. You'll be measured in meetings and pipeline, not badge scans.

You: You've run a multi-format event portfolio at a company selling to technical audiences, and you talk about it in pipeline, not attendance. You know which events AI engineers actually go to and that a hackathon earns more trust than a booth. You've hosted a dinner where the programming — not the venue — made the room worth everyone's evening. You've negotiated sponsorships hard, walked away from popular conferences your buyers weren't attending, and killed formats that didn't convert. You run flawless logistics solo, stay calm when something breaks day-of, and treat the sales handoff as your job, not someone else's. You'd rather run three events that produce pipeline than ten that produce photos. You have at least 4 years of experience.
