From the employer
DealMaker is a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing the capital markets ecosystem with a mission to make online capital raising mainstream. We empower founders, CEOs, and operators to raise capital digitally, both from their own communities and through strategically marketed campaigns. No other platform provides an end-to-end solution like ours—and our track record speaks for itself, with over $2B raised across 1,000+ campaigns. We power the largest online capital raises for customers like EnergyX ($88M), Green Bay Packers ($65M), Miso Robotics ($72M+), Monogram Orthopaedics (Nasdaq:MGRM) and many others, with 3 IPOs in the past year alone. We are quickly expanding our horizons and are seeking talented team members to join us on our journey to transform the global capital market.
Who You Are
As an Email Marketing Specialist, you own outcomes, not just output. You execute across email, SMS, RVM, webinar, and press release, but you're the one deciding whether the current process is still the best way to get the result. You're comfortable following process, but you're just as comfortable improving it: identifying gaps in our SOPs and refining them as you go. You analyze performance, design and run tests, refine segmentation and flow logic, and advise other teams and issuers on best practice.
This role carries real ownership, deep analytics fluency, and broad influence across the function, backed by strong day-to-day expertise. You'll report to the Director of Email/SMS and collaborate closely with the wider Communications team, Account Managers, Strategists, and Creative Design.
You deeply embody the mindset and values that drive how our team operates day to day.
What You Will Do
Own & Optimize Campaigns End-to-End: Own execution of high-impact email/SMS/RVM/webinar campaigns from setup through QA, send, and reporting, and decide what to test or change next, not just what to send.
Own Automated Flow Strategy: Design, refine, and optimize automated sequences and their segmentation logic, the strategy a team member would later execute against.
Deep Analytics & Root Cause: Analyze campaign and flow performance, identify root causes, and recommend actionable optimizations grounded in data.
A/B Testing & Experimentation: Propose and run tests on subject lines, content, CTAs, design, and send-time, with clear hypotheses tied to real KPIs.
Segmentation & Audience Strategy: Design targeting logic based on engagement, behavior, and lifecycle stage, not just apply criteria handed to you.
Cross-Functional Advisory: Advise marketing, creative, content, CRM, product teams, and issuers on best practice, not just execute their requests.
Platform Ownership & Expertise: Serve as the internal platform expert (Klaviyo primary, plus HubSpot or others), troubleshoot, own integrations, and evaluate new features.
Deliverability & Domain Health: Monitor bounce rates, spam complaints, inbox placement, and sender reputation; implement best practice on authentication, IP warm-up, and list hygiene.
Press Release Distribution: Own the end-to-end distribution and execution of press releases in partnership with our PR vendor. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather approved copy and all required technical assets, manage distribution logistics and timing, and ensure each press release is executed accurately and on schedule.
Portfolio Ownership & Coaching: Independently manage a portfolio of issuers/accounts, handle complex campaigns and edge cases, and coach newer team members.
