Justworks is seeking a creative and experience-obsessed Senior Events Marketing Strategist to own and elevate our most important brand moments. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Events, this role leads end-to-end execution of our Tier 1 & 2 portfolio - including flagship tradeshows, conferences, internal events, community activations, and strategic brand partnerships.
You are strategic and AI forward - you build systems that scale them. You use AI tools and smart workflows to work faster, brief more clearly, and improve continuously. You operate with minimal oversight, and bring a sharp point of view on what great looks like, from first touchpoint to post-event follow up. You design experiences that grow awareness, shift perceptions and drive impact. Every event is an opportunity to change how people think about Justworks and you design with that in mind.
What You’ll Do
Tier 1 Event Ownership for “Fewer, Bigger, Better.” Own end-to-end strategy and execution for Justworks' highest-priority events, with a disciplined focus on concentration of investment and maximum brand impact. You establish the brief, drive the experience design, manage vendors and production, and lead onsite execution. You set the bar - and continuously raise it for what a Justworks event looks, feels and achieves.
AI Powered Planning & Systems Building Embed AI tools and scalable systems into every phase of event planning - from brief generation and vendor research to onsite runbooks and post-event reporting. You don’t just use AI for efficiency; you build repeatable, documented workflows that elevate the entire teams’ output. You build to scale, develop repeatable playbooks and evaluation frameworks, and identify and advocate for tools that improve speed and quality.
Internal Events Leadership Lead planning and execution for key internal events. You partner cross-functionally to deliver experiences that align internal stakeholders and reflect our evolving brand - not just logistics done on time, but moments that matter.
Community & Partnership Execution Drive the events execution layer of our community and brand partnership programs. Collaborate with the Brand, Community, Field Marketing & Partnerships teams to ensure these activations are purposeful, on-brand, and tracked against clear outcomes. Help build the business case for partnership renewals or pivots based on performance data.
Experience Design & Standards Translate brand values into tangible, high-quality guest experiences. You come to every vendor call, venue walk, and design review with the full picture in mind. You catch what others miss and you fix it before it shows up on-site.
Strategic Briefing & Cross-Functional Alignment Develop clear, detailed event briefs that define audience, goals, messaging, experience design, and success metrics. Partner closely with Brand, Community, Field Marketing, and Content teams to ensure consistent storytelling and seamless execution across every touchpoint.
Budget Management Own budgets for assigned Tier 1 events and partnership activations. Track spend against forecast, flag tradeoffs proactively, and manage shared assets (including large-format booth infrastructure) responsibly across teams.
Measurement & Reporting Track performance across engagement metrics (attendance, participation, partner reach, qualitative feedback, meetings, community growth) and event-influenced pipeline where applicable. Deliver clear post-event reporting and recommend improvements to continuously elevate program quality. Build post-event reporting that actually drives decisions - attendance, engagement, pipeline influence, partner outcomes, qualitative feedback. Deliver clear, timely recaps and recommendations that feed directly into program planning for the next cycle.
Who You Are
Fewer Bigger Better Mindset
You believe in concentrated investment over volume. You push for the bold choice, make the case for quality over quantity, and aren't afraid to sunset what isn't working in service of what will.
Systems Thinker & Builder
You don't just execute - you build the infrastructure that makes great execution repeatable. You create templates, document processes, and design workflows that outlast any single event. You actively use AI in your day-to-day work - for research, drafting, analysis, and workflow automation and you're always looking for new ways to apply it. You can teach others and help elevate team capability, not just your own.
Brand Builder
You have a minimum 7+ years of experience managing events. You understand how events shape how people feel about a brand, and you design with that awareness. You bring intentionality to every touchpoint because you know that’s where perception shifts happen.
Partnership-Oriented Marketer
You have experience supporting or executing co-branded activations and understand how to balance partner goals with brand integrity and audience experience.
Experience-Driven Executor
You care deeply about the details that shape audience experience—from invitation through follow-up - and ensure seamless delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaborator
You work effectively with Brand, Field Marketing, Community, and external partners to align messaging and execution without overcomplicating the process.
Operationally Strong & Self-Directed
