Position Summary

The Marketing and Media Specialist supports the execution of strategic marketing and media initiatives by creating compelling, brand-aligned content for digital publications and owned channels. This role partners closely with marketing, media, design teams, and firm leadership to ensure consistent, integrated storytelling that elevates the firm’s work, people, and design approach. The Specialist contributes to thought leadership, project promotion, and media visibility while adhering to established brand standards and processes.

What You Will Do

  • Develop on-brand written content that supports marketing and media plans, including project stories, thought leadership, firm news, press releases, award submissions, and digital profiles.
  • Create and maintain project and firm profiles on key architecture and design platforms, including managing monthly content updates and uploads.
  • Lead development of engaging website content that aligns with the firm’s marketing plan and meets established deadlines.
  • Support media outreach and press pitching efforts as directed by marketing and media leadership.
  • Research, collect, and document project information to maintain accurate records and institutional knowledge.
  • Collaborate with digital teams to publish content across the firm’s website and social media channels.
  • Partner with graphic designers to ensure visual and written content align with brand standards.
  • Work closely with media and marketing leaders to ensure project promotion aligns with enterprise and sector strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Professional experience writing and developing content in a professional services environment (preferably in the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), or related design industry)
  • Excellent writing, research, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing work that adheres to brand standards and style guidelines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to assess needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting marketing and media efforts within the AEC or design industry.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and project or CRM databases (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint or similar).
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of digital content strategy, including website content and architecture-industry platforms.
