The Mission

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team at a company that’s redefining the cloud consulting landscape. You will play a critical role in driving world-class event programs and field marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, generate demand, and enable sales success.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong project management skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage budgets effectively, and to drive alignment and accountability among all stakeholders involved. You should be comfortable taking ownership of events end-to-end, from planning through execution, while communicating proactively with internal teams, partners, and vendors.

Your Assignment

  • Plan and execute Caylent's event marketing activities including conferences, partner events, trade shows, customer roundtables, and executive dinners, managing an average of 12 to 20 events at any given time.
  • Manage events autonomously from end-to-end: scoping, budgeting, vendor negotiation, onsite logistics, and post-event reporting.
  • Oversee budgets with discipline, proactively communicating overages or funding requests before they occur.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Sales and Partners (event co-sponsors or stakeholders) to ensure alignment, clear communication, and on-track execution of event deliverables.
  • Negotiate with vendors and partners to secure favorable terms, services, and event experiences.
  • Hold Sales accountable to event expectations and ensure teams operate within approved budgets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Alliances, and Operations teams on campaign tracking, collateral, and event reporting.
  • Design registration pages and event communications, and coordinate social promotion campaigns.
  • Support Caylent’s gifting and campaign operations platforms.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
  • 2+ years of B2B event or field marketing experience (within the technology industry is preferred)
  • Proven ability to project manage multiple events simultaneously with minimal oversight
  • Strong bias for action: ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve, and operate with urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Immaculate attention to detail, organizational skills, and accountability
  • Experience managing and reporting on budgets
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with Sales, partners, and vendors
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, HubSpot, and Canva preferred
  • Negotiation skills and experience managing third-party vendors
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.

Base Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this position is $82,000 - $98,000 CAD per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Additional Compensation Components: In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and other incentives. The specific components will vary depending on the role and individual and/or company performance.
