What you'll do
- Contribute across the full design arc, from early concepts through finished artwork
- Help shape design direction and production for two- and three-dimensional graphics, signage and exhibits
- Build maps, print layouts and signage designs alongside the environmental graphics team, with supervision
- Translate client needs into concepts, and prepare mockups showing where and how signage will appear
- Get artwork fabrication-ready and coordinate with vendors and fabricators
What you bring
- A bachelor's in graphic design, architecture or a related design field
- At least two years of relevant experience plus a strong portfolio
- Solid typography, and genuine interest in 3D design, wayfinding and exhibition work
- Comfort on Mac with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign; AutoCAD and Sketchup are a bonus
- An analytical, independent mind with sharp attention to detail

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Involvement in all phases of the design process from conceptual development through artwork production.
- Participate in recommendations for concept, design, art direction, and production for a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, signage and exhibits.
- Under direct supervision and partnership with the environmental graphics team, design a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, maps, print layouts for exhibits and signage.
- With guidance, work with selected clients and participate in the interpretation and translation of their expressed needs and ideas into concepts.
- Prepare photo visualizations and mockups of proposed signage for placement, content and/or usage.
- Prepare camera-ready artwork for fabrication.
- Work with vendors/fabricators.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
- Strong design portfolio.
- Strong typography skills.
- Must demonstrate skill and interest in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design and environments.
- Must be analytical and an independent thinker.
- Proficiency on Macintosh in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required, skills in AutoCAD and Sketchup a plus.
- Strong design orientation, communication skills, ability to collaborative well and attention to detail are essential.
